G1 Second Exam Scope, Spring 2020

Exams will be held on:

 

l  Listening Exam – Wednesday, May 13^th, 2020

l  Oral Exam –   Friday, May 15^th, 2020

l  Written Exam – Thursday May 21^st, 2020

 

The exams may cover the following: 

 

LISTENING EXAM:

·         Communication Book (Weeks 6-11)

·         The Big Circle (RS 1.2, pages 104-137)

·         Honey Bees (RS 1.2, pages 170-201)

·         Ruby in Her Own Time (RS 1.3, pages 44-83)

·         Contractions

·         Proper Nouns (Days of the Week/Months of the Year)

 

ORAL EXAM:   Reading benchmark of an unseen text, based on reading accuracy, fluency and comprehension.

 

WRITTEN EXAM: 

Vocabulary Comprehension:  Vocabulary words from weeks 6-11)

 

Story comprehension (understanding of the story):

·         The Big Circle (RS 1.2, pages 104-137)

·         Honey Bees (RS 1.2, pages 170-201)

·         Ruby in Her Own Time (RS 1.3, pages 44-83)

 

Phonics:

Students may be asked to identify:

• Long o, long e (ee)
• Consonant Patterns ng, nk
• Compound Words
• Nouns
• Subject Verb Agreement (verb +s)
