G1 Midterm Exam Scope, Fall 2019

 

Dear parents,

 

Exams will be held on:

 

l  Listening Exam – Wednesday, November 13^th, 2019

l  Oral Exam –   Friday November 15^th, 2019

l  Written Exam – Tuesday, November 19^th, 2019

 

The exams may cover the following: 

 

LISTENING EXAM:

·         Communication Book (Week 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11)

·         Farmer’s Market (RS 1.R, pages 140-165)

·         Sam, Come Back! (RS 1.1, pages 12-37)

·         Lin’s Fish (RS 1.1, pages 38-65)

 

ORAL EXAM:   Reading benchmark of an unseen text, based on reading accuracy, fluency and comprehension.

 

WRITTEN EXAM: 

Vocabulary Comprehension:  Vocabulary words from weeks 6 to 11)

 

Story comprehension (understanding of the story):

·         Farmer’s Market (RS 1.R, pages 140-165)

·         Sam, Come Back! (RS 1.1, pages 12-37)

·         Lin’s Fish (RS 1.1, pages 38-65)

 

Phonics and Grammar:

Students may be asked to identify:

• Consonants v, y, z, x/ks
• Consonant qu
• Consonant pattern –ck words
• Short u, a, i
• Complete sentences
