G1 Final Exam Scope, Fall 2019

 

Dear parents,

 

Exams will be held on:

 

l  Listening Exam – Tuesday, December 31st, 2019

l  Oral Exam –   Friday, January 3rd, 2019

l  Written Exam – Tuesday, January 7^th, 2019

 

The exams may cover the following: 

 

LISTENING EXAM:

·         Communication Book (Week 13-18)

·         Ox Helps (RS 1.1, pages 74-83)

·         A Fox and a Kit (RS 1.1, pages 102-111)

·         Get the Egg! (RS 1.1, pages 128-137)

 

ORAL EXAM:   Reading benchmark of an unseen text, based on reading accuracy, fluency and comprehension.

 

WRITTEN EXAM: 

Vocabulary Comprehension:  Vocabulary words from weeks 13 to 18)

 

Story comprehension (understanding of the story):

• Ox Helps (RS 1.1, pages 74-83)
• A Fox and a Kit (RS 1.1, pages 102-111)
• Get the Egg! (RS 1.1, pages 128-137)

 

Phonics and Grammar:

Students may be asked to identify:

• 3^rd person singular verbs
• Predicates of sentences
• Short o
• Short e
• Plural s
• Inflected ending –ing
• Initial consonant blends
